LEARNING
ADVENTURES FOR THE WEEK:
Our theme for the week is Colors and Shapes. We will explore
different colors in our world and the different shapes we see everywhere!. We will also continue saying our days of the
week and months of the year. Students
are working hard to earn their stickers on their folders for saying the days
and months!
-Our letters for the week are “Gg” and “Hh” and numbers 7 and 8.
We will discuss objects and names that
begin with each letter. Children learn so much and can read
so much at this age already simply from the world around them through sight
words. Help us build our letter collage
by sending in word clippings/labels of household items beginning with the
letters we have covered so far “A through H”
(ie Applesauce, Burger King,
Cheerios, Danimals, Eggos, French’s, etc) We will start doing this each week with the
letters of the week. I can’t wait to see how many different words the children
will find! Thank you!
- One-to-one correspondence is the math concept of the week. We
are also exploring AB patterns (alternating back and forth between two colors,
ie red/green/red/green/red/green).
REMINDERS:
If
you have not already done so, please send in a 4x6 family photo as soon as
possible for our bulletin board.
Pillowcases
and blankets are sent home on Friday to be washed and returned each Monday. Please make sure pillowcases are being sent back as well. This is very important as they are used to encase the nap mats and protect them from others germs (DSS guidelines).
