TODAY Friday, September 22nd – Last day to get yearbooks for $40. Prices will go up ($50) after today. They can

Tuesday, September 26th – It’s Johnny Appleseed
Day!!!! K-4 students may dress up as
Johnny Appleseed or Granny Smith. Also
send in your favorite kind of apple as we will be tasting different types of
apples.
Spirit Week is 9/25-9/29 with Homecoming next Friday, September
29th. Students may wear a THA
t-shirt (no cost). There will be a pep
rally at 2:00pm this day so we may be a few minutes late for dismissal. You are welcome to join us in the gym for the
pep rally.
LEARNING
ADVENTURES FOR THE WEEK:
Our theme for the week is All in the Family. We will also continue saying our days of the
week, months of the year and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Students are working hard to earn their stickers
on their folders for saying all three of these!
Our letters for the week are “Ll” and “Mm”. We will discuss objects and names that begin
with each letter. Children learn so much and can read
so much at this age already simply from the world around them through sight
words. Help us build our letter collage
by sending in word clippings/labels of household items beginning with the
letters we have covered so far “A through M”
(ie Applesauce, Burger King,
Cheerios, Danimals, Eggos, French’s, etc) We will start doing this each week with the
letters of the week. I can’t wait to see how many different words the children
will find! Thank you!
- Math concept for this week is Big, Middle, Little. We will work with our bears and sort and
graph them by sizes.
