LEARNING
ADVENTURES FOR THE WEEK:
Our theme for the week is Body Parts and The Five Senses. We will explore
different textures, sounds, smells and tastes.
We will also practice saying our days of the week and months of the
year.
-Our letters for the week are “Ee” and “Ff” and numbers 5 and 6.
We will discuss objects and names that
begin with each letter. Children learn so much and can read
so much at this age already simply from the world around them through sight
words. Help us build our letter collage
by sending in word clippings/labels of household items beginning with the
letters we have covered so far “A through F”
(ie Applesauce, Burger King,
Cheerios, Danimals, Eggos, French’s, etc) We will start doing this each week with the
letters of the week. I can’t wait to see how many different words the children
will find! Thank you!
- One-to-one correspondence is the math concept of the week. We
are also exploring AB patterns (alternating back and forth between two colors,
ie red/green/red/green/red/green).
