LEARNING ADVENTURES FOR THE WEEK:
Our theme for the week is Fall & Leaves.   We will go on a leaf hunt, make leaf rubbings and talk about things that happen in the fall.   We will also continue saying our days of the week, months of the year and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  Students are working hard to earn their stickers on their folders for saying all three of these!

-Thanks to Hurricane Irma, we had to move back a letter so our letters for the week are “Jj” and “Kk”.  We will discuss objects and names that begin with each letter.  Children learn so much and can read so much at this age already simply from the world around them through sight words.  Help us build our letter collage by sending in word clippings/labels of household items beginning with the letters we have covered so far “A through K”   (ie Applesauce, Burger King, Cheerios, Danimals, Eggos, French’s, etc)  We will start doing this each week with the letters of the week. I can’t wait to see how many different words the children will find! Thank you!

- Math concept for this week is Big, Middle, Little.  We will work with our bears and sort and graph them by sizes.
